Clockwork

Clockwork

When I was introduced to the playful poem pattern of a pantoum, it captured my imagination. It's cyclic style reminded me of a broken clock.

Shelved and forgotten, I’m
Watching through one-way windows
Outside of clockwork time,
Thoughts in cycling limbo.

Watching through one-way windows,
Hands frozen at four o’ six,
Thoughts in cycling limbo,
In eternity transfixed.

Hands frozen at four o’ six,
Shelved and forgotten, I’m
In eternity transfixed
Outside of clockwork time.
